Using the app

Mapento is offered for personal use. You may not use it in a way that breaks applicable law or infringes anyone else's rights.

Friend features require an account. Keeping your account secure is your responsibility.

What you write is yours

Your notes, place names and photo references belong to you. When you choose to share a record, you grant the limited permission needed to show that record in your friends' copies of the app. Turning sharing off ends that permission.

We do not use your content for advertising, sell it, or hand it to third parties.

What not to do

You can report any record in the feed and block any user. Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks these terms is removed and the account may be closed.

• Impersonate someone, or use another person's name or photo.
• Share harassment, threats, hate speech or content that targets someone.
• Share someone's private information, such as a home address, without consent.
• Strain the app or the server with automated tools or bulk data collection.
• Share unlawful content.

Subscriptions

Paid features are sold through Apple. Pricing, renewal and refunds follow Apple's terms; you can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Availability

The app is provided as is. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted service. The data on your device is your responsibility — exporting it regularly is recommended.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We may close accounts that seriously break these terms.
